Description
These are a pair of houses, originally part of a row of four, built in the mid-19th century and altered in the 20th century. Constructed from squared coursed sandstone with a slate roof, the buildings are three storeys high, including a cellar. They have a symmetrical facade of four bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes set within plain stone surrounds. The third and fourth bays feature blocked cellar openings. Paired stone door surrounds with cornice hoods are located between the first and second bays, and the third and fourth bays. The right-hand doorways contain doors with six raised and fielded panels, while the left-hand doorways have been blocked with masonry. Stone gutter corbels are present. Axial chimneys are located on the gables and between the two houses. Stone chimneys also rise from the front wall, aligned with both blocked doorways.
