Description
The sundial base, located south of the Church of St. Michael, dates from the 18th century and is made of sandstone. It features a fluted Doric column topped with a cyma-moulded capital, which is set into a semi-circular step that has a nosing. The design of the semi-circular step and the tapering of the column towards the top indicate that the sundial base was likely originally positioned against a wall.
