Description

Crookhall Bridge is a bridge over the River Cocker, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and features a single segmental arch with chamfered voussoirs, supported by piers. The bridge has a solid parapet that includes a string course and coping. The east parapet is inscribed with the words: 'C.C. CROOKALL BRIDGE. LONSDALE SOUTH. AMOUNDERNESS'. Part of this bridge is located in Forton civil parish.
