Description
West Lodge at Crookhey Hall is a lodge built in 1877, likely designed by Waterhouse. It is constructed of rock-faced sandstone and features a slate roof with pierced ridge tiles. The building has two storeys. The windows are rebated and chamfered. On the west gable wall, there are two one-light windows on the ground floor and a two-light mullioned window on the first floor. To the right, there is a doorway with a moulded surround, a hood, and a shaped lintel inscribed with the year '1877'.
The south wall, which faces the drive, has buttresses at the outer sides and a two-storey canted bay window that projects forward with a hipped roof. The central windows of the bay are three-light, while the side windows are each one-light. To the right of the bay, there is a two-light mullioned window. The building features chimneys with four octagonal shafts where the roof of the bay meets the main roof, and the gables have copings.
