Description
Cross House, built in 1738, is a two-storey house with three bays, constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a slate roof. The windows feature stone surrounds with slight chamfers, although the mullions have been removed. The central bay contains a door with a surround that has a cyma moulding, creating an ogee shape on the lintel, which is inscribed with 'ICM 1738'. Above the door is a hood made of two pitched stone slates. The house has chimneys at both ends.
Adjoining the house to the east is a barn, likely built in the early 19th century, which has a stone slate roof with a lower ridge. The barn features a wide doorway on the left with a stone lintel and an external sliding door. On the right side of the barn, there is a window and a door, both with plain reveals.
