Description

Tewitfield Old Turnpike Bridge (No 138) is a bridge over the Lancaster Canal, which was opened in 1797. It is constructed from sandstone blocks and features a single elliptical arch. The bridge has a projecting keystone, a string course, and solid coping with a rounded top.
