Description

The perimeter wall on the west side of Thurland Castle, along with the stable court buildings, dates from the 1880s and is constructed of sandstone rubble. The wall features buttresses with offsets. On the southern side, the wall leading to the stable court includes a moulded pointed arch with a hood and a drip course that steps upwards over the entrance. Surrounding the stable court are single-storey buildings that have mullioned windows.
