Description

Staining Windmill is a windmill, likely built in the late 18th century, that has been altered and is now used as a dwelling. The structure is made of brick, which has been rendered and painted white, and features a wooden cap. It has a tapering circular tower with three stages, segmental-headed windows, and S-shaped tie-plates. There is a door located on the southwest side. The windmill has a Fylde-type boat-shaped cap, which includes an iron balcony at the doorway on the south end. There is a single-storey domestic extension on the west side, but this extension is not considered to be of special interest.
