Description

This dovecote, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 150 metres north of Mains Hall. It is a tall octagonal structure made of handmade brick and has no roof. The building features a brick band around two-thirds of its height and a doorway on the east side with a gauged segmental brick head. Inside, the walls are completely lined with nest holes and continuous perching ledges, except for a rectangular recess resembling a fireplace that is situated opposite the door.
