Description

This is a dovecote located approximately 75 metres east of Reighton Hall, built in the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a pantile roof. The dovecote has a hexagonal shape and stands two storeys tall. It has a boarded door that is flanked by ventilation grills, which include dove holes and a landing platform to the right. All openings are adorned with segmental arches made of gauged brick. The pointed roof is detailed with modillion eaves. Inside, the walls are lined from floor to ceiling with nesting boxes.
