Description
Beech Cottage is a house from the early 19th century that has undergone later alterations and an extension. The front features a chequer-board brick design in Flemish bond, while the sides and rear are rendered. It has a pantile roof and rendered stacks. The layout is a central staircase plan with one room depth, and there is a rear service extension. The building is two stories high with a symmetrical front that has two windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a divided overlight, set in a moulded doorcase adorned with paterae. To the right, there is a French window with glazing bars in an enlarged opening. The remaining windows are 16-pane sashes, all featuring wedge lintels. The cottage has a modillion eaves course, coped gables, and end stacks. It is included in the register for its group value.
