Description
The boiler house, located approximately 10 metres east of the kitchen wing of Bolton Green Farmhouse, is a former farm building likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with some quoins and features a slate roof. The building is rectangular and consists of a single cell with two storeys. A large buttress, which is probably modern, is situated at the southeast corner. The east gable has modern double doors set beneath a large stone lintel, along with a small ventilation opening above. The south wall contains two adjoining blocked openings, which may have been doorways, and a blocked three-light flush mullion window above these openings.
