Description
The boilerhouse and pigsty/henhouse located to the south-east of Post Gate Farmhouse dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. This structure is built from roughly-tooled sandstone and features pantiled roofs with stone dressings and a stack. It is a single-storey building with a loft over the pigsty, designed in an L-shape. Stone steps lead up to the henhouse door, which is situated beneath two pigeon holes with an alighting shelf. The boilerhouse door is on the right, while the pigsty door is on the left, and both are boarded. The gable ends have copings on square kneelers.
