Description
The Swan with Two Necks is a house, likely built in the early 19th century, that has been converted into a public house and restaurant. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof with gable chimneys. The building has a double pile, three-bay plan with an additional bay on the left end and a lean-to extension on the right end. It stands three storeys high and has a moulded stone gutter cornice. The entrance is offset to the left of centre and features a modern applied doorcase with an unusual pediment. There are three windows on each floor; the ground and first-floor windows have 12-paned replacement sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, and splayed stone heads, while the second-floor windows are lower and have six panes. The left addition has one similar sashed window on each floor, with the ground floor window being narrow, and the lean-to on the right has one 9-paned sashed window. The interior has been altered.
