Description
The George is a public house, likely built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and features a slate roof with gable chimneys made of brick. The building has a double pile, two-bay plan and stands three storeys tall.
The round-headed doorway is located slightly left of centre and has moulded jambs and a head with a keystone. The ground floor includes large tripartite sashed windows with stone sills, jambs, and heads that also have keystones. On the upper floors, there are two sashed windows on each floor. A painted sign hangs on a bracket in the centre of the first floor.
