Description

Dolphin Farmhouse is a farmhouse, likely dating from the later 18th century, with later additions. It is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins, and has a slate roof with chimneys on the left gable and along the ridge where it joins the later addition. The original layout was a double-pile plan of two bays, to which a stable was added at the right end, and a rear extension was built later. The front door is offset to the left of centre, and the original two bays have two windows on each floor, all featuring three-light casement windows with stone sills, jambs and heads. The stable in the third bay has a small, modern window at ground floor level, and a loft door above. The left gable displays a square attic window, now blocked. The right return wall has a divided stable door and three windows.
