Description
The stable block to Astley Hall, likely built in the late 18th century, is constructed of brick with a stone plinth and stone dressings, topped with a hipped stone slate roof. It has an L-shaped plan and features a symmetrical facade with nine bays and two storeys. The centre of the facade is slightly projected and has a pediment, with a first-floor band interrupted by a two-storey round-headed arch that is glazed with small panes. This arch is flanked on both floors by tall windows with bare glazing, and the pediment contains a similarly glazed bullseye window. There are three tall ground floor windows and three first-floor bullseyes on either side of the central section, all featuring small panes. The left return wall includes a segmental-headed wagon door and three bullseyes.
