Description

This barn, located approximately 10 metres south of Tattersall Farmhouse, is believed to date from around 1600 and has undergone alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and features a stone slate roof. The barn consists of four bays and has outshuts on the east side, which may have originally been aisles. There is a wagon entrance in the third bay, set back between the outshuts, with a porch roof that disrupts the eaves line. At the south end, there is a chamfered doorway, with a similar doorway located on the west side. Other openings on this side appear to have been added later. The south gable wall includes small slit breathers at ground level and a chamfered two-light mullioned window at the first floor, though the mullion is missing. The interior is now considered to be of less interest.
