Description
SD 83 SE WORSTHORNE WITH HURSTWOOD HURSTWOOD 3/56 Barn c.10 metres south of 17.12.68 Tattersall Farmhouse (formerly listed as Freestanding - barn to south of Tattersalls) GV II
Barn. Probably c.1600; altered, Coursed squared sandstone, stone slate roof. Four bays, with outshuts (perhaps formerly aisles) on east side; wagon entrance to 3rd bay recessed between the outshuts, with porch roof breaking the line of the eaves; at south end, a chamfered doorway (a similar doorway opposed to it on west side); other openings this side apparently inserted. South gable wall has small slit breathers at ground floor, a chamfered 2-light mullioned window at lst floor (lacking the mullion). Interior now of less interest.
