Description

This is a lamp post located opposite number 217 on Lowerhouse Lane in Burnley. It was built in the late 19th century and was originally situated in Grimshaw Street. The lamp post features a circular stone base and a foliated cast-iron standard with ladder bars. It is topped with a Windsor lantern that has a corona, which is locally referred to as a "P.20 gas lantern."
