Description

Knotts Bridge is a bridge over the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, built around 1800 by engineers Robert Whitworth and Samuel Fletcher. It is constructed from coursed sandstone blocks and features an elliptical arch with rusticated voussoirs. There is a decorative band above the arch and pilastered ends.
