Description

Canal Bridge Number 121 is a bridge over the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, built around 1800 by engineers Robert Whitworth and Samuel Fletcher. The bridge is constructed from coursed sandstone blocks and features an elliptical arch with rusticated voussoirs. It has a band that is tangential to the apex, a slightly humped parapet with flat coping, and pilastered ends.
