Description
The boundary wall of the churchyard of the Church of St Catherine, likely built around 1840, is constructed of coursed squared sandstone, which has been ribbon-pointed. It features dressed sandstone coping and gate piers. The wall surrounds all four sides of the rectangular churchyard and has a gateway aligned with the west door of the church. It stands approximately 2 meters high and has chamfered coping, with former iron railings having been removed. The pair of gate piers are square up to the level of the coping, then transition to an octagonal section, topped with finialed octagonal caps. This wall is included for its group value with the Church of St Catherine.
