Description
The Neptune Fountain, located in the stable courtyard at Winstanley Hall, dates from around 1830 and was created by W. Spence. This stone fountain features an octagonal basin adorned with a frieze of trailing waterlilies. At its center, there is a statue of Neptune seated on a throne atop an open clam shell, which is being drawn by three rearing horses. Some damage is noted on the figures.
