Description
This is a boundary wall that encloses the southern part of the churchyard of the Church of All Saints. It likely dates from the 18th century or earlier. The wall features coursed sandstone rubble and has a varying height of approximately 4 meters. It forms two walls of a stone-slated outbuilding that is located outside the churchyard, which was part of a former brewery behind the Bees Knees Public House. The wall extends to the southwest and is topped in this section by windows from the former brewery. The northern section of the wall includes a re-cut stone tablet that reads, "This wall was finished by GO:IS:CH:WA: Anno 1783," while the western section has a plaque with a raised oval panel inscribed "B / M * W / 1809." This wall contributes to the group value with the Church of All Saints.
