Description
This is a farm building located to the west of Home Farmhouse, dated 1853 as indicated by the datestone inscribed "ECB/1853". The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features hipped slate roofs, forming a courtyard with ranges on all four sides. The front facade consists of seven bays, with the fourth and seventh bays projecting forward and being taller than the others, while the third bay is set under a gable. The corners of the building are marked by quoins. The fourth bay contains an elliptical-headed entrance with a rusticated surround and the datestone positioned above it. The windows have rusticated jambs and feature two-light casements with decorative glazing. The end bay includes a bull's eye pitching hole. The rest of the building was not inspected, but the west range appears to have a higher section under a hipped roof, likely serving as a barn.
