Description

The War Memorial, dating from around 1920, features a polished granite base and a statue made of Portland stone. The statue depicts Saint George holding a sword and shield, positioned on a pedestal adorned with bay leaf wreaths and coats of arms on each side. Attached to the tall square shaft are brass plaques displaying rolls of honour. The memorial stands on a projecting base and a small stylobate.
