Description
Botham's Hall is a house dating from the late 17th century, featuring a graduated stone slate roof. It has a T-shaped plan with two storeys plus attics, and a lean-to on the right side. The original part of the house, which forms the stem of the T, includes a projecting plinth, quoins, and continuous dripmoulds on both the first and second floors. It has a variety of windows, including a 2-light, 3-light, and 4-light double-chamfered mullion window, as well as an enlarged 5-light window. The door in the second bay features an ovolo-moulded surround, and there is a 3-light gable window similar to the others. The later wing is gabled, with a projecting plinth and casement windows on each floor, including the attic, all set under timber lintels. The interior is said to contain a large fireplace with a bressumer beam.
