Description

The war memorial, dating from around 1920, is made of sandstone and granite and features bronze plaques and figures. It has a tapering square shaft that stands on an inscribed base, which is set on a granite plinth. The inscription reads, "They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them nor the years condemn." At the top of the shaft is a cross, and there are cast figures of soldiers in battle attire on each side of the shaft.
