Description

This is a house, dating from the 17th century, though significantly rebuilt in the 18th century and extended in the 20th. It is timber-framed, with the rear and side walls reconstructed using random rubble and covered by a roof of graduated stone slates. The house has three bays and two storeys, with single-storey brick additions at the rear. A projecting stone plinth is visible, as is a timber frame with diagonal bracing, and a 20th-century brick chimney stack on the gable. The central entrance is flanked by 20th-century casement windows to the ground floor. The first floor has two three-light and one one-light casement windows. The rear of the property is mostly hidden by 20th-century extensions. The building was recorded as a shop in the 19th century.
