Description

Bridge Number 1, also known as Junction Bridge, is a roving bridge completed by 1831 and designed by engineer William Crosley. The bridge features rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and has parapet walls. It includes a horseshoe arch with a keystone, an ashlar band, and concaved parapet walls that have rounded tops, which are finished with battered square piers. Additionally, there is a spiral towpath walk associated with the bridge.
