Description
This boundary stone, located 200 meters from the junction with Turvin Road on Halifax Road (A58), dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of upright, rough dressed stone and features two angled faces. The inscription across both sides reads: "THE DIVISION OF THE COUNTIES OF LANCASTER AND YORK SOYLAND DISTRICT," with a hand pointing to the right. The stone may have been repurposed from an earlier guide post.
