Description
The flagstone boundary wall to the west of No. 42 Broad Lane is a Grade II listed structure dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of large, fissile sandstone flags that are set into the ground. The flags are joined at mid-flag level with circular metal plates that are bolted together. The wall stands approximately 1.75 metres high and features flagstones of random widths, with some reaching up to 2 metres wide. It runs from a point half a metre west of No. 42 Broad Lane to a point 10 metres northeast of the corner of No. 28 Turnhill Lane, measuring about 85 metres in length.
