Description
The field boundary to the south-west of Windlestone Hall is a boundary wall likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with ashlar coping and dressings. The wall stands approximately 3 metres high and stretches about 500 metres along the side of the grounds, serving as a boundary to a former lane. It features 14 full-height buttresses with coped offsets, and the coping is ramped to accommodate changes in ground level.
