Description
The outbuildings located to the north of Yew Cottage, which was formerly the steward's house of the Windlestone estate, date from the late 18th century to early 19th century. They feature painted render with painted brick dressings, ashlar quoins, and a roof made of graduated Lakeland slate, complete with a roll-moulded lead ridge and a stone chimney. The structure is single-storey and consists of seven bays. It includes five boarded doors, with the fourth being a Dutch door that leads to the former stable. There is a small square light to the right of the stable door, and a blocked roundel with a stone surround in the right end bay.
