Description
The gateway to Falinge Park, located at the corner of Falinge Road and Sheriff Street, dates from around 1900. It features sandstone and cast iron construction. The central double vehicular gates are flanked by pedestrian gates on either side, with curved walls that end in square piers. There are six piers in total, each with projecting bases, recessed panels, floral festoons, modillion cornices, and topped with finials adorned with garlands. The gates themselves are decorated with intricate scrollwork and include two central heraldic cartouches.
