Description
Nos. 207 and 207A on Oldham Road are late 18th-century back-to-back cottages located in Springhead, Saddleworth. They are constructed from watershot hammer-dressed stone with a rendered gable and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The building has three storeys and two bays, with entrances at first floor level on Cooper Street, as well as on the front and right sides. The left door has a square-cut surround, and there is an inserted shop window next to a three-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window. The upper floors contain two similar windows with a continuous sill band. Gable chimney stacks are present, and the rear of the building has two three-light windows on each floor, along with quoins and blocked gable windows.
