Description
No. 32 Sandy Lane, which includes No. 1 Long Lane, is a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The buildings have two bays, with two and three storeys and lean-to extensions on the left and rear sides. The corners are marked by quoins.
No. 32, which is in bay 1, is accessed through a lean-to extension on the gable end and has a four or three-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion window on each of its three floors, along with similar two-light gable windows. No. 1, in bay 2, is slightly older, has two storeys, and features a four and a six-light window with king mullions. It has a square-cut door surround and is entered from Long Lane. There are two 20th-century porches and ridge chimney stacks on the buildings.
