Statue of Robert Ascroft. 1903. F W Pomeroy, sculptor. Granite and bronze. Stepped and moulded granite plinth with cornice carrying bronze figure. Plinth carries inscription recording Robert Ascroft, M.P. for Oldham, 1895-1899, "The Worker's Friend". Statue erected by public subscription.
