Description
The statue of Robert Aske is located in the forecourt of Haberdashers' Hatcham College. It was created in 1836 and is made of Coade Stone. The figure depicts Aske in the robes of a Livery Company, leaning on a plinth that features a coat of arms and holds plans of buildings in his hand. The statue stands on a high plinth that has a long inscription detailing Robert Aske's Hospital, which was founded in 1692. The statue is signed "Croggon, Lambeth, 1836."
