Description
The former Vicarage and Hall, originally serving as the vicarage and church hall for the Church of St Mark with Christchurch, was built in 1876, possibly by John Wild. The structure is made of coursed and squared stone, cut into small blocks, and features a Welsh slate roof. The building, which faces the street, is two stories tall and has a two-window range with a central entrance. There is an arched doorway set in a shallow gabled porch, flanked by triple arched windows that contain 2-pane sashes. Above, there are three-light windows with moulded lintels beneath gables that have quatrefoil decoration. The building has end wall stacks, and the church hall forms a rear wing. A stone plinth wall with cast-iron railings marks the boundary with the street. This building is included for its group value with St Mark with Christchurch.
