Description

The Statue of John Platt is located in Alexandra Park, Oldham, and was created in 1878 by the sculptor D.W. Stevenson from Edinburgh. The statue features a circular polished granite shaft that is raised on a plinth with angle blocks. It includes life-size seated female bronze figures and a standing figure of John Platt, M.P., positioned on a column.
