Description
The former coach house, located immediately north-west of Lower Walshaw House, is likely from around 1774. It is constructed of squared, coursed rubble and has two storeys. The building features a central arched doorway with a flat surround, a keystone, and impost blocks. To the right, there is a vehicular doorway with a quoined surround and a segmental head. Above this doorway, there are two glazed oculi. The structure has a moulded gutter cornice and flush quoins, topped with a slate roof. Additionally, there is a further oculus in the right-hand gable and sash windows with glazing bars at the rear. This coach house is included for its group value with Lower Walshaw House.
