Description
This is a barn located to the north of Woodhead Farmhouse, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. There is a later wing added to the south of the east side. The barn features five bays and has diamond-pattern ventilation holes. The entrances are elliptical-headed, with cheeks and timber doors. Inside, there is a cow house and a loft at the south end. The interior includes internal buttresses, with those flanking the entrances being triangular. The roof is supported by kingpost trusses with curved braces, and the timbers are chamfered. There is also a brick arch located to the south of the threshing floor.
