Description
Newton Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1774, as indicated by a metal plate on the rear. It features a 19th-century extension to the left and a 20th-century extension to the right. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has five bays, with the left extension being two storeys and six bays, while the right extension is one storey and three bays. The 18th-century section has a rusticated stone base, first and second floor sill bands, and a top cornice. The three-bay center projects forward under a pediment. The windows have rusticated wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars. The central round-headed entrance features an architrave, a four-panel door, and a complete fanlight, with a round-headed window above that also has an architrave, and a second-floor window with an architrave. Inside, there is an original staircase and six-panel doors. The extensions are not considered of special interest.
