Description
This early 19th-century building in Grappenhall comprises a shop, a dwelling, and a store shed. It is constructed of painted brick with grey slate roofs. The shop and dwelling are contained under a main hipped roof, while the attached store, which has a side facing the canal towpath, sits beneath a narrower hipped roof. The house has a door with six fielded panels. Recessed 16-pane sash windows are present on each storey to the left, with a blocked window above the front door. To the right there is a shop window composed of 20 small panes within a moulded timber case, and a recessed 16-pane sash window above it. A boarded shop door is located to the right of the shop window. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
