Description
Nos 13 and 15 on Suez Street are two-storey houses likely built in 1846, the same year the street was named. They are constructed of brick with stone quoins and a top cornice. The large doorway features a double round arch, with the inner arch displaying a Greek key pattern in relief, flanked by fluted Ionic columns and pilasters, leading up three steps to a panelled door. The ground floor has five 12-paned sash windows, while there are four above, all with flat brick arched heads. The return side facing Bold Street includes a shallow rectangular bay window with a cornice and a sash window above. Nos 13 and 15 are part of a group with several other listed buildings, including those on Springfield Street, the Museum and Art Gallery on Bold Street, and buildings on Egypt Street and Palmyra Square.
