Description
The Unitarian Church, built between 1744 and 1745 and altered and repaired in 1863, features a rectangular plan constructed of brick on a stone base, topped with a slate roof. The side elevations are adorned with brick pilasters that have stone capitals. The gable end includes a circular attic window and two entrances, each with four-panel doors, plain rectangular fanlights, and wooden surrounds that include pilasters, an entablature, and pediments with modillions. The building has two storeys of semi-circular headed windows, which are framed by brick arches, stone keys, and sills, and feature Perpendicular tracery. Inside, there are said to be 18th-century wall monuments, while the graveyard contains tombstones that date back to the early 18th century.
