Description
12 Bold Street is a Victorian building dating from the 19th century. It stands two storeys tall and is constructed of brick, featuring a stone band and end pilasters. The central section of the building projects forward and includes a doorway with a four-panelled door and a fanlight, framed by Ionic columns and flanking pilasters, along with a frieze and cornice. On the ground floor, there are two 12-paned sash windows with flat brick arched heads, and above, three sash windows, with the central one adorned with a cornice. To the left, there is a three-storey wing that matches the overall height of the main structure. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 12, 9 to 21 (odd), the Museum and Art Gallery, No 10 Egypt Street, and other listed buildings in Palmyra Square, as well as Nos 3 to 13 (odd) Springfield Street and Nos 13 and 15 Suez Street.
