Description

Nos 9 to 19 on Bold Street is a terrace of 19th century houses located between Egypt Street and Suez Street. The buildings are constructed of brick with stone dressings and quoins. They feature square porches in pairs, each with two segmental-headed doorways, and inner doors that have pilasters and fanlights. The houses have sash windows, although most of the glazing bars have been removed. This terrace, along with Nos 12, 9 to 21 (odd), the Museum and Art Gallery, No 10 Egypt Street, all the listed buildings in Palmyra Square, Nos 3 to 13 (odd) on Springfield Street, and Nos 13 and 15 on Suez Street, form a cohesive group of historical significance.
