Description

This is a timber-framed cottage dating from 1665, with a timber frame to the front and rear, brick gables, and a thatched roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic, originally composed of six bays arranged in large framing. A modern single-storey addition, constructed of brickwork with a monopitch slate roof, is present to the east gable. The windows have been altered, and the entrance features a boarded door. The timber displays the initials “RE” and the date 1665. The interior includes bevelled beams, heavy floor joists, and cruck trusses.
